Installation Tips for Drip or Micro-Sprinkler kits
- Maximum flow rate recommendation for drip or micro-sprinkler system from a faucet: 900 gallons per hour (15 GPM)
- Maximum flow rate recommendation for a single drip line run with drip or micro-sprinklers is 220 Gallons per hour (3.6 GPM)
- Water pressure, for all gravity feed. Please take the following link to read our gravity feed section.
- Most homes have between 40 to 80 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch of pressure). Recommended operating pressure for a drip system is between 15 to 35 PSI. Please use a 25 pressure regulator with your system
- Recommended maximum distance to run your drip line is 400' and up to 300' with micro-sprinklers.
- Check the water flow direction on each component! Water must flow in the correct direction for most items to work at all. Items that should be mounted in a certain direction will be marked somewhere on the body.
- Flush the drip tubing before installation of drippers or micro-sprinklers. First connect the filter, pressure regulator and all the fittings needed, flush the line and close the end of the line, pressurizes the system to make sure all components are working correctly. Shut off the water and install the drippers or micro-sprinklers
