Drip Irrigation drip emitters
Most drip emitters will deliver between .5 to 4 GPH. Drippers are inexpensive, easy to install, reliable and accurate. All drip emitters may be inserted directly into 1/2" poly tubing or extended with 1/4" micro tube.
The Drip Store carries a variety of drippers that incorporate two basic styles with two different characteristics: pressure compensating, and turbulent flow.
PC drippers will give the same amount of water within a range of pressure (example: a PC dripper will be rated at 1 GPH between 10 to 55 PSI). Another main feature of PC drippers is the self-flushing mode, during start up and shutdown the drippers flush themselves automatically as pressure builds up or goes down. This feature equates to a longer life span and better constant flow during the lifetime of the dripper. A PC drippers ideal use is on a large system, or long drip line to maximize the amount of drippers on a single length of a poly line, while maintaining even flow rate from each dripper along the line. They also provide a better uniformity if slight elevation differences occur in the system.
Non-compensating button drippers will give different amounts of flow at different pressures, in other words, the higher the pressure, the more flow the dripper will give, the lower the pressure, the less flow the dripper will give. These drippers have a very good uniformity over short distances of drip line, and with no elevation differences along the line. They operate well and provide a good uniformity for short run, between 15 to 25 PSI
