The 5 units of 1/8” x 1/4" barbed connector are used to connect two ends of 1/8” micro tubing with .115 ID to .120 ID and 1/4" micro tubing with .140 ID to .170 ID, to connect or to extend 1/8” micro tubing from the drip tubing. By using a barb, the micro tubing is pushed over the barb for a very tight fit.
The Drip Store’s 1/8” and 1/4" barbed fittings are used for the installation of 1/8” micro tubing, 1/4" micro tubing (also known as distribution tubing) or 1/4" drip line. The 1/4" fittings are available with a number of configurations to meet the varying requirements in the installation and layout of the micro tubing and 1/4" drip line.
The 1/8” and 1/4” barbed fittings are used in the installation of any brand name 1/4” drip line or 1/8” and 1/4” micro tubing. To connect the 1/8” and 1/4” micro tubing or 1/4” drip line use a hand pruner to cut the micro tubing or drip line, being careful to keep dirt from entering the micro tubing. Insert the barbed side of the fitting into the end of the micro tubing or drip line by forcing the micro tubing over the barb. To connect the 1/4” micro tubing or 1/4” drip line into the drip tubing, punch a hole in the drip tubing using the A019 or A035 hole punches and insert one side of the 1/4" barb or 1/4" tee. Then insert the other side of the barb or tee into the end of the 1/4" micro tubing by forcing the micro tube over the 1/4" barb.
