The Drip Store's high impact 1/4" barbed fittings are available in various configurations and are used in the installation of 1/8” micro tubing with .115 ID to .120 ID and 1/4" micro tubing or 1/4" drip line with .140 ID to .170 ID. With the use of a barb, the micro tubing is forced over the barb for a very tight fit. No tools, glue, or clamps are required. Use the A019 or A035 hole punches to make correct size holes for any 1/4" barbed fittings and use the A040 hole-punch to make the correct size hole for 1/8” barbed fittings.
The 1/8” and 1/4” barbed fittings are used in the installation of any brand name 1/4” drip line or 1/8” and 1/4” micro tubing. To connect the 1/8” and 1/4” micro tubing or 1/4” drip line use a hand pruner to cut the micro tubing or drip line, being careful to keep dirt from entering the micro tubing. Insert the barbed side of the fitting into the end of the micro tubing or drip line by forcing the micro tubing over the barb. To connect the 1/4” micro tubing or 1/4” drip line into the drip tubing, punch a hole in the drip tubing using the A019 or A035 hole punches and insert one side of the 1/4" barb or 1/4" tee. Then insert the other side of the barb or tee into the end of the 1/4" micro tubing by forcing the micro tube over the 1/4" barb.
Using the goof plug:
Use the goof plug to close holes when replacing drip emitters. It can also be used to close the hole made from a drip emitter. To use the goof plug, remove a goof plug from the strip of 10 and force the plug into the hole in the drip tubing or drip line
