To start a drip system from 1/2” drip tubing or 1/4" micro tubing, The Drip Store has created the automated drip zone kits that can be connected to a faucet or PVC pipe. The drip zone kits use a 3/4” electronic hose end timer, back flow device, "Y" filter, 25 PSI preset pressure regulator, and 3/4" FHT adapter for 1/2" drip tubing with .700 OD and for 1/4" micro tubing with .250 OD. Use this automated drip zone kit in any landscape area in residential application
The Drip Store provides you with various mountings to start a drip irrigation installation. Properly designed drip irrigation systems begin with what is called the drip zone or the drip zone assembly, which consists of three vital components: the back-flow device to prevent contamination from back-siphoning into the water supply, a filter to protect the drip emitters, and a pressure regulator to lower the pressure to the suggested operating pressure for a drip system. An optional manual or automatic control valve (not included) may be added at the start of the assembly. This assembly can be attached to a faucet only.
Starting the irrigation system from a faucet:
· Optional: If you wish to automate the system, first connect a hose end timer or battery-operated controller to the faucet, if a backflow device is used, connect the timer or controller after the backflow device (suggested controller model).
1. Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT backflow device to a timer or controller or directly to the faucet if not used with a hose end timer or a controller.
2. Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT T filter to the backflow device if used or directly to the controller male outlet or faucet if the backflow device is not used.
3. Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT 25 PSI pressure regulator to the filter.
4. Connect the 3/4" FHT swivel adapter to the 3/4" FHT x MHT 25 PSI pressure regulator.
5. To start the drip system, connect the poly drip tubing to the adapter by wiggling and forcing the drip tubing into the compression side of the adapter and then.
6. Lay out the drip tubing to the garden area. The 1/2" drip tubing is used as the main line for drip systems into which drip emitters, micro sprinklers or 1/4" micro tubing are inserted
Make sure that the water flow direction in each component is in line with the water flow of the system.

6. The 1/4" micro tubing is serves as a feeder line or as a main line in a small system to deliver the water to the pot, boxes or patio area into which the drip emitters spray jet or foggers are connected.
Make sure that the water flow direction on each component if any is in line with the water flow.
