The Drip Store’s 1/4" poly micro tubing is available in black color only and in lengths of 100', 500', and 1000’. Our commercial grade poly micro tubing is made of Dow FINGERPRINT™ DFDA-7510 NT linear low-density polyethylene resin. The micro drip tubing exhibits a combination of outstanding environmental stress-cracking resistance and burst strength. The Dow FINGERPRINT™ DFDA-7510 micro drip tubing from DIG includes an antioxidant to protect the end product from thermal degradation with 5% concentrated carbon black. The materials selected contain the Dow FINGERPRINT™ (trace element) that certifies the product and provides verification as to the identity of the drip tubing in the event of failure. The Drip Store’s micro tubing is used for a wide range of applications such as a feeder line from 1/2" drip tubing to extend drip emitters or micro sprinklers, with our 4, 6 and 12-outlet drip emitters and for a complete 1/4" drip system.
The basic use of 1/4" micro tubing is as a feeder line from the 1/2" drip tubing, with the 12-outlet drip manifold and as part of a complete system using the 1/4" as the main lateral. To connect the micro tubing to the drip tubing, first insert a 1/4" barb or 1/4" tee into the micro tubing, then use the punch to make a hole in the drip tubing. Then insert the barb into the hole in the drip tubing. Use the micro tubing as a feeder line to reach plant or clusters of plants away from the drip tubing and install a dripper or micro sprayer at the end of the micro tubing.
