The 1/4", 1/2" and 5/8” porous soaker hose is extruded pipe made of UV-resistant recycled rubber material. The porous soaker tubing can be used as a feeder line from drip tubing or as part of a complete 1/4" or 1/2" drip system.

      The recycled rubber porous soaker tubing can be installed above the ground and covered with mulch to blend it with the landscape.  To connect the 1/4" porous soaker tubing to drip tubing, use our 1/4" barbed fittings, and to connect the 1/2" use the .700 OD compression fittings.

      1. If automation is used and you will be running porous soaker tubing, drip and sprinkler zones, the controller should be selected with care. The ideal controller should have an independent program for each valve, or two to four programs for flexibility to use with each zone. Standard electric remote control valves (model C023), or 3/4" (model C041) to 2” (model C044) battery operated controllers can be used in the installation, however, care should be taken to review the flow characteristics of the zone that the valve or controller will be accommodating.
      2. The porous soaker tubing should be first laid out and secured into the ground using plastic stakes before connecting the porous soaker tubing to the main lateral.
      3. Flushing: Prior to testing leave the end of the main line and the porous soaker tubing laterals open and then flush the system of all debris. Close the end line and all laterals.
      4. Pressure tests the system with a minimum of 25 PSI to identify leaks in the lateral, fittings and the drip zone.
