PC Dripline Irrigation Kit Model K008
The K008 PC Dripline Irrigation Kit is one of The Drip Store's custom designed drip irrigation kits that contains all the parts needed to cover a garden area with up to 220 square feet. This dripline irrigation kit includes 100' of brown drip tubing with 1 GPH (gallons per hour) pressure compensating inline drippers inserted into the inner side of the tubing every 18". This kit is ideal for pre-spaced or closely spaced rows of plants such as groundcover, shrubs and roses, or for around the house foundation. This dripline irrigation kit includes all the components needed to water small, medium and large size plants, and it can be expanded to a system of up to 440 square feet, using 1 GPH inline PC drippers.
This PC Dripline from DIG is an advanced pressure-compensating dripline incorporating PC inline emitters with low-density brown polyethylene tubing. The PC drip emitters have a cylindrical design with turbulent flow. Additionally, they are flow-regulated using a silicon diaphragm and are self-flushing. The PC drip emitters are inserted and welded into the inside wall of the polyethylene tubing in a preset spacing of 18" using a flow rate of 1 gallon per hour (GPH). The efficient design of the PC Dripline makes it a reliable system in a wide range of irrigation applications.
Drip irrigation is the slow application of water directly to the plants' root zone in a predetermined pattern. Maintaining an optimum moisture level in the soil at all times results in less water lost to the sun and the wind. No water is wasted on non-growth areas, and the root zone is maintained at its ideal moisture level, combining the proper balance of water and air for a very efficient irrigation system.
This kit has all the parts needed to implement a drip irrigation system from a hose faucet (spigot) or from an inline valve.
Specifications
Maximum incoming operating pressure: 100 PSI
Operating pressure: 10-45 PSI
Drippers flow rate: 1gallon per hour (GPH)
Note.
The pressure regulator (included) is used to lower the incoming pressure to the micro sprinklers and drippers to the suggested operating pressure of 25 PSI, which is in the range of recommended pressures for a drip or micro-sprinkler system.

Information that can help in the installation of the system
Installation: The PC Drip Line Irrigation Kit suggested installation steps
This drip irrigation kit has all the parts needed to start the system connecting to a faucet. The Drip Store also includes instructions on how to start the system from a PVC pipe or a pipe thread.
Option 1: Starting the irrigation system from a faucet
Optional:
If you wish to automate the system, first connect a battery-operated timer to the faucet (suggested model C001 - not included in this kit).
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT backflow device(model A015) to the controller or to the faucet if not used with a controller.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT filter (model F300) to the backflow device if used, or directly to the controller male outlet or faucet.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT pressure regulator (model A013) to the filter.
Option 2: Starting the irrigation system from a PVC pipe
Option 2: Requires model P357-not included
Glue to a 3/4" PVC pipe a PVC male adapter (model P357) (not included).
Use the 3/4" MHT x MPT nipple (model A010) to connect to the pipe thread making sure to use 3-5 rounds of Teflon tape.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT battery-operated controller (model C001) (not included).to the nipple.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT backflow device (model A015) to the controller (not included), or to the faucet .
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT filter (model F300) to the backflow device, if used, or directly to the controller male outlet or faucet.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT 25 PSI pressure regulator (model A013) to the filter.
Steps to connect all others components
To the 3/4" FHT x MHT pressure regulator connect the 3/4" FHT swivel adapter (model LF503), to the adapter connect the poly tubing by wiggling and forcing the drip tubing into the compression side of the adapter and lay out the drip tubing to the garden area. The 1/2" drip tubing is used as the main line to deliver the water to the drip line.
Use the 1/2" elbow (model LF007) as needed.
Use 1/2" coupling .700 O.D. (model LF001) to connect additional 1/2" drip tubing, or for repair.
Used the 1/2" tee (model LF005) to split the 1/2" drip tubing if needed and to connect the drip line into the drip tubing.
Connect the drip line with a dripper every 18" (model DL080) into the drip tubing using the tee and lay out near the plants row.
Turn the water on and flush the line, and then close the end of the 1/2"drip tubing using hose end (model A006).
Use the 1/2" holder stake (model S006) to secure the 1/2" drip tubing and drip line to the ground.

Operation
How much time to water:
Turn the water on for 45 minutes to 1 hour every two days, depending on your location and the soil type. After a week or two check the soil and the health of the plants, and adjust the irrigation time as needed. If you have an irrigation controller and you need to add more time, adjust the time on the controller or program the controller with additional start-times.
