The 13 GPH, 360-degree spinner type micro sprinkler assembly with purple nozzle is an insect proof micro sprinkler with coverage of up to 13’ @ 30 PSI. When the spinner is closed at the end of the irrigation cycle insects are prevented from entering the spinner. This micro sprinkler is suited for irrigation under tree canopies, and for seedlings, flowerbeds, groundcover, young saplings, mature trees, and in greenhouses and nurseries. The fully assembled insect proof micro sprinkler comes with a spike, 24” micro tubing and barb. If the 180 degree deflector is rmoved, the diameter is around 20 to 25" full circles.
The Drip Store’s line of spinner type micro sprinklers presents an advanced concept in micro irrigation systems. The bridge type micro sprinklers operate using a spinner, which is seated on a nozzle or orifice, usually within some type of bridge design. When water passes thru the nozzle it spins the spinner, which throws the water in a full circle to the diameter determined by the flow rate and pressure. The spinner in this type of micro sprinkler closes at the end of the irrigation cycle preventing insects and spiders from entering the spinner and laying eggs inside the spinner housing. The micro sprinklers can be used in orchards under a tree canopy, and for groundcover, seed germination and flowerbeds. The micro sprinkler assembly comes with spike, 24” micro tubing and barb.
To install the micro sprinklers, first select the flow rate and check the micro sprinkler recommended spacing. If using the complete assembly micro sprinkler with the spike and the micro tubing, first insert the spike into the ground about 2-4”, then punch a hole into the side of the drip tubing using a punch, and then insert the barb on the micro tubing into the drip tubing.
