The Patio Drip Irrigation Watering Kit from DIG Corporation contains .5 and 1 GPH (gallons per hour) drip emitters and a few low flow foggers to water up to 22 pots, planter boxes and hanging baskets around the pool, patio, balcony or on a roof garden. The kit includes all the components needed to water 14 pots or baskets up to 8", 6 baskets up to 12", and 2 baskets or containers up to 18". This kit can accommodate a flow of up to 25-30 GPH, using drip emitters and foggers with a variety of flow rates.

Very nice set up! Easy to understand and install. This product works fine and would recomend to anyone. It was recomended to me by friends in Calif. They had tried them all , but this particular company was the best bor mopney found, DIG makes them hassle free..L Tennessee

Installation for FS50

Connect the battery operated timer (model 9001EZ) to the faucet. If a shower head is used, first connect the 3/4” x 1/2" adapter (included), then connect the nipple (model A010), and last, the hose end timer.

Connect the backflow device (model A015) to the controller or to the nipple.

Connect the pressure regulator (model A013) to the backflow device.

Connect the 3/4" x 1/4" adapter (model A001) to the pressure regulator.

Connect the micro tubing (model T009) to the adapter and run the micro tubing along the baskets and containers.

Turn the water on and flush the line. After you flush the line close the end of the micro tubing using one of the goof plugs (model SF007).

Near each basket, pots or container, cut the 1/4" micro tubing, and insert a 1/4" barbed tee (model SF003). Connect additional section of the 1/4" micro tubing and extend from the 1/4" tee to the pot or basket.

4" to 6" from a group of pots or baskets, cut the micro tubing and add a 1/4" ball valve (model A018). The ball valve is used to control the flow rate to a group of pots, baskets or containers and to make sure that all runoff is equal from the pots and baskets in the group. After the ball valve connect an additional section of 1/4" micro tubing and add additional 1/4" tees. Continue the step for each plant by adding a1/4”tee.

To the 1/4" barbed tee add another piece of 1/4" micro tubing and run it into the pot, basket or container.

To the end of the 1/4" micro tubing, and for basket of up to 8" in diameter add 1 GPH dripper (model D012).

For baskets larger than 8" and up to 12" in diameter: inside the pot, or basket, instead of the dripper, add a 1/4" tee and to each side of the tee add a 3" to 5" length of micro tubing, then to the end of the micro tubing add a .5 GPH dripper (model D011) . For larger pots use a fogger (model MS008) and secure the fogger to the ground using a stake (model S003)

Secure the dripper in the pot using the 1/4" stake (model S005)

If needed secure the micro tubing to a structure using 1/4" “C” clamps with a nail (model A005)
This drip irrigation kit configuration uses a hose end timer as a starting point and in this layout the controller in the kit can be used to water up to a maximum of 30 plants.
Note: The hose end timer requires one 9V alkaline battery (not included).
How much time to water: Turn the water on for 2 - 5 minutes. The goal is for all the pots and baskets regardless of size to drain at the same time. Program the irrigation controller for about 1 - 3 minutes less than the time it took the pots and baskets to start draining. If you need more water adjust the time on the controller or program additional start time.
Run the system for two to three days a week, depending on your location and the soil type. After a week or two, check the pots and the health of the plants, and adjust the irrigation time as needed. If you need more water adjust the time on the irrigation controller or program additional start times.
