The K004 Drip and Micro Sprayer Kit is The Drip Store's expanded, deluxe, custom designed kit that contains a high flow digital battery-operated controller, 200’ of high quality 1/2" drip hose with .600” ID x .700” OD and all the parts needed to complete a large micro irrigation system. The watering components include 15 pre-assembled micro sprayers with 5 at 360-degree, 5 at 180-degree, 5 at 90-degrees, 50 1-gallon per hour (GPH) pressure compensating drip emitters, and 20 adjustable drip emitters on spikes. In addition the Drip Irrigation and Micro Sprayer Kit includes a wide range of components used to install a drip and micro sprayer irrigation system capable of watering a garden planted with roses, shrubs, ground cover, flowerbeds and trees up to 750 SF. This Drip Irrigation and Micro Sprayer Kit can accommodate expansion up to 1200 SF using additional drip hose, drip emitters and micro sprayers.
One of the most important features of a drip irrigation system is the creation of a totally new and more favorable root zone environment within the planting. Drip irrigation and micro sprinklers can sustains this environment by using low flow rates to maintain constant soil moisture levels. This encourages better growth and disease resistance by reducing plant stress.
The Model K004 Drip Irrigation and Micro Sprayer Kit is a complete kit that has all the parts needed, including a battery operated controller, to install a drip and micro sprayer system from a hose faucet (spigot).
Note: The pressure regulator (included) is used to lower the incoming pressure to the micro sprinklers and drip emitters to the suggested operating pressure of 25 PSI, which is in the range of recommended pressures for a drip or micro-sprinkler system.
Suggestion in connecting the 1/2" compression drip fittings. To install the 1/2" compression fittings, cut the drip tubing with a hand pruner, being careful to keep dirt from entering the line. Hold the compression fitting in one hand and the drip tubing in the other and force the drip tubing into the fitting by wiggling it from side to side. Make sure that the drip tubing is pushed into the compression fitting for about 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch for a very tight fit. No glue or clamps are required.
This kit has all the parts needed to start the system connecting to a faucet. The Drip Store also includes instructions on how to start the system from a PVC pipe or a pipe thread.

Steps to connect all others components:
Micro sprayers have small droplets and a low flow application rate. Micro sprayer’s irrigation can prevent plant stress by maintaining low water tension in the soil using a low flow application rate. Use the micro sprayers to water groundcover, flowerbeds, or areas where drippers are not practical, such hillsides, or when low volume, overhead irrigation is desired. Like the drippers, the micro sprayers operate at low pressure but have a larger range of flow rates and diameters.
For maximum system expansion using a single water source, and to better control the system’s total flow rate, use (model D076) I GPH (gallon per hour) drippers. We recommend using drippers of the same flow rate to resolve the difficulty of irrigating a garden planted with a diversity of plant types and sizes, for example a garden with trees, shrubs, groundcovers, bulbs and perennials installed on the same system. To increase the amount of water applied to larger or thirstier plants, simply add more drippers, at intervals of 12-16”, around the plant. This method provides the plant with a larger wetted area to cover a larger section of the plant root zone. By adjusting watering time, the right amount of water can then be applied evenly to all the plants.
Suggested number of drippers per plant:
See installation instructions inside for details.
How much time to water: Turn the water onfor 45 minutes to 1 hour every two days, depending on your location and the soil type. After a week or two check the soil and the health of the plants, and adjust the irrigation time as needed. If you havean irrigation controller and you need to add more time, adjust the time on the controller or program the controller with additional start-times.
