The 1/2" (17 mm) barb elbow is used to connect two ends or to make a 90 degree turn in drip tubing or drip line with .550 ID to .600 ID (17 mm). By using a double barb, the tubing is pushed over the barb for a very tight fit. Use for continuing lengths of drip tubing or drip line and for drip tubing repair.

A little hot water on the .620 tubing and these fit right in. Impressive apparent quality and design: heavy duty and easy to use. Requires strength in the hands to make the connection but yields a high strength bond that's virtually impossible to separate. Used in our nursery for a more precise and uniform installation where multiple tubes are present.

17 mm Barb Fittings

The 1/2" (17 mm) barb fittings are used in the installation of any brand name drip line or drip tubing. To connect the 1/2" (17 mm) drip tubing or drip line, use a hand pruner to cut the drip tubing or drip line, being careful to keep dirt from entering the drip tubing. Insert the barb side of the fitting into the end of the 1/2" drip tubing or drip line by forcing the drip tubing over the barb side.
