The 1/2" (17 mm) starter barb connector with rubber grommet is used for connecting a drip lateral with .550 ID to .600 ID (17 mm) directly into a PVC main line. To connect the barb with the grommet into a PVC pipe, drill a hole using a 5/8” hall saw drill, insert the rubber grommet into the shorter barb side and push the assembly into the PVC pipe. On the other side of the barb insert the drip tubing or drip line. By using the double barb the drip tubing is pushed over the barb for a very tight fit. Use this connector for a lateral layout of drip hose or drip line from a PVC main line.
The Drip Store’s brown color 1/2" (17 mm) barbed drip fittings are available in a variety of configurations for 1/2" drip line or drip tubing with .550 to .600 ID (17 mm), providing a low cost and simple method for drip line and drip tubing installation.
The 1/2" (17 mm) barb fittings are used in the installation of any brand name drip line or drip tubing. To connect the 1/2" (17 mm) drip tubing or drip line, use a hand pruner to cut the drip tubing or drip line, being careful to keep dirt from entering the drip tubing. Insert the barb side of the fitting into the end of the 1/2" drip tubing or drip line by forcing the drip tubing over the barb side.
