The 90°, 12" pop-up micro sprayers with 1/2" MPT from DIG Corporation are designed to provide solutions where low pressure and low application rate are preferred. The pop-up micro sprayer has a 90° pattern with radius of up to a 5' and a flow rate of 14 GPH @ 30 PSI. The pop-up micro sprayers incorporate a pressure activated low friction, upper stem seal and a second stage piston seal to insure positive sealing and operation reliability and long-term performance. Use these pop-up micro sprayers for ground cover, flowerbeds and shrubs or where conventional sprinkler systems or drip irrigation would not be practical and the drip tubing needs to be covered.
The Drip Store has a wide range of micro sprayers and jets to meet all of today‘s requirements for micro irrigation needs. The no moving parts pop-up micro sprayers can be used for a wide range of applications and are available with 360° 180° and 90° degrees pattern with a small diameter and for watering that requires small droplets size with low precipitation rates. When low volume overhead irrigation is desired for an area where drip emitters are not practical and micro sprinkler diameters and moving parts are not required nor preferred, the micro sprayers may be what are needed. Like micro sprinklers, the pop-up micro sprayers and others are available in a wide variety of styles, flow rates, diameters, and configurations. Like micro sprinklers, they operate at low pressure and require a filter to protect the small orifice of the sprayer from clogging. The main advantage of micro sprayers to some users and installers could be the lack of moving parts and the small to medium sized droplets and coverage.
To install the pop-up micro sprayers use one of the two options:
Installation using drip tubing as the main lateral:
With this layout use the complete assembly pop-up micro sprayers with 24” micro tubing and barb. Install the pop-up by punching a hole into the side of the drip tubing and inserting the 1/4" barb into the drip tubing. Mount the pop-up micro sprayer about 2-4” above the ground with spacing between the pop-ups of up to 5’.
Installation using PVC pipe as the main lateral:
With this layout use the complete assembly pop-up micro sprayers with 1/2" MNPT. Install the pop-up by installing a PVC tee with 1/2" FNPT and then thread the pop-up into the 1/2" outlet. Mount the pop-up micro sprayer about 2-4” above the ground with spacing between the pop-ups of up to 5’.
If using the one piece construction replacement spray head without the pop-up, install the head at the end of a length of 1/4" micro-tubing or use with a semi rigid poly riser.
