The K022 Micro Sprayer kit is The Drip Store’s expanded, deluxe, custom designed kit that contains a hose end battery operated controller with LCD display, 200’ of high quality 1/2" drip hose with .600 ID x .700 OD and all the parts needed to complete a micro irrigation system. The watering components include 15 pre-assembled micro sprayers with 5 at 360-degree, 5 at 180-degree and 5 at 90-degree. In addition the micro sprayer irrigation kit includes a wide range of components used to install a micro sprayer irrigation system capable of watering a garden planted with roses, shrubs, ground cover, flowerbeds and trees up to 500 SF. The micro sprayer irrigation kit can accommodate expansion up to 1000 SF using additional drip hose, drip emitters and micro sprayers.

The model K022 Micro Sprayer Irrigation Kit is a complete kit that has all the parts needed to install a micro sprayer system from a hose faucet (spigot).

Suggestion in connecting the 1/2" compression drip fittings. To install the 1/2" compression fittings, cut the drip tubing with a hand pruner, being careful to keep dirt from entering the line. Hold the compression fitting in one hand and the drip tubing in the other and force the drip tubing into the fitting by wiggling it from side to side. Make sure that the drip tubing is pushed into the compression fitting for about 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch for a very tight fit. No glue or clamps are required.

I am very happy with this kit. Everything is of excellent quality and performs wonderfully. I feel it is a great value. It has more than enough parts included for all different configurations. I ordered another 200' of hose and an extra 5 of the 360 degree sprayers and it works great. I will be ordering more next spring. Thank you.

Installation for K022

This micro sprayer irrigation kit has all the parts needed to start the system connecting to a faucet. The Drip Store also includes instructions on how to start the system from a PVC pipe or a pipe thread.

Starting the system from a faucet:

First connect a battery-operated controller to the faucet (suggested model C001 - included in this kit) using the FHT and MHT fittings included.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT backflow device (model A015) to the controller MHT nipple or to the faucet if not used with the controller.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT filter (model F300) to the backflow device if used, or directly to the controller male outlet or to faucet.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT pressure regulator (model A013) to the filter.

Optional: Starting the system from a PVC pipe:

Glue to a 3/4" PVC pipe a PVC adapter (model P357) (not included).
Use the 3/4" MHT x MPT nipple (model a010) to connect to the pipe thread making sure to use 3-5 rounds of Teflon tape.
Connect the 3/4" FHT X MHT battery-operated controller (model C001) (not included) to the nipple.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT backflow device (model A015) to the controller (not included), or to faucet.
Connect the 3/4" FHT x MHT filter (model F300) to the backflow device, if used, or directly to the controller male outlet or faucet.
Connect the 3/4" 25 PSI FHT x MHT pressure regulator (model A013) to the filter.

Steps to connect all others components:

To the 3/4" FHT x MHT pressure regulator connect the 3/4" FHT swivel adapter (model LF503).
Use the 1/2" elbow (model LF007) as needed.
Use 1/2" coupling .700 O.D. (model LF001) to connect additional 1/2" drip tubing, or for repair.
Use the 1/2" tee (model LF005) to split the 1/2" drip tubing in three directions or to make a loop around a tree (if needed).
Turn the water on and flush the line, and then close the end of the 1/2" drip tubing (model T0060) using hose end (model A006).
Use the 1/2" elbow on corners or for a 90 degree layout (if needed).
The 1/2" coupling (if needed) is used to connect two pieces of 1/2" drip hose.

Micro sprayers have small droplets and a low flow application rate. Micro sprayer irrigation can prevent plant stress by maintaining low water tension in the soil using a low flow application rate. Use the micro sprayers to water groundcover, flowerbeds, or areas where drippers are not practical, such hillsides, or when low volume, overhead irrigation is desired. Like the drippers, the micro sprayers operate at low pressure but have a larger range of flow rates and diameters.

Install the micro sprayers (model MSA001, 002 and 003) every 4-6’ using the 360, 180 or 90 degree patterns.
1. First, (if not assembled) thread the micro sprayer into the 24” micro tubing assembly and insert and press the end of the micro tubing into the clip area of the clip stake. Make sure that the micro tubing and the micro sprayers are about an inch above the clip stake. Punch a hole in the drip hose and insert the ¼” barb on the micro tubing/stake assembly into the drip hose. Place the stake assembly 6-8” above the ground.
Use the punch (model A019) to punch hole in the 1/2" drip tubing for the insertion of the drippers and 1/4" fittings if needed.
The 1/2" stake (model S006) is used to secure the 1/2" drip hose to the ground. Place every 4' to 6' apart or as needed.
Use goof plugs (if needed) (model SF007) to repair small holes in the 1/2" drip tubing. The goof plug may also be used to close the end of the 1/4" micro tubing.

Note:The pressure regulator (included) is used to lower the incoming pressure to the suggested operating pressure of 25 PSI, which is within the range of recommended pressures for a drip system or micro-sprinkler system.

How much time to water: Turn the water onfor 45 minutes to 1 hour every two days, depending on your location and the soil type. After a week or two check the soil and the health of the plants, and adjust the irrigation time as needed. If you have a controller and you need to add more time, adjust the time on the irrigation controller or program the controller with additional start-times.
