I've been using my punch for 11 years. To the previous reviewer, it makes holes in the poly tubing so you can stick in barbed connectors. The goof plugs will bail you out if you make a mistake. Just pay attention to which side you're making holes on so your drip tape goes the direction you want. I couldn't be without it. Hope you get yours working for you...
It is kinda OK for 1/4 tubing. I say so because it pinches the tube quite a bit. I am not sure if that affects the flow. I have used hold down stakes in kits from horbor freight tools and they dont pinch the tubing so much. But in comparison, this is built better.
Instead of attaching it to the tubing I attach it to the dispensing end of the drippers [it fits perfectly]. That way the dripper is held horizontally. BTW, a better item to holding drippers is S003...
Very good!
They are fully adjustable. It sends 8 [or 6?] tiny streams of water in a 360 degree pattern. I use it in many places....ranging from large container/pots to small trees. Works perfectly.
The flow is a little high....especially for containers.......they start overflowing in a minute or two. Hence I am looking at MS023 instead for containers...
I got mixed experiences about this item. It needs a lot of presure to generate the mist. When I used it at a hieght of around 5 ft it worked as advertised....making a lot of mist.
But when I used it at two hanging baskets which are hung at a height of around 10' and I fed this mister using around 15' of 1/4 tubing.....it would not mist satisfactorily. It generated a wide stream instead. I guess the pressure up there is not enough.
Another problem was that due to the screw type connection the misters will sometimes pop off the end of the 1/4 tube. I had to push the tube all the way in...so that it was touching the valve. After that it is better...
