Backflow Preventer 3/4" FHT x 3/4" MPT

The last thing you want is for the water you're pumping out into your garden to get sucked back into the plumbing system of your house. This is called "backflow," and it's more common than it sounds! Luckily the solution to this is inexpensive and easy to use. A backflow preventer - sometimes called an anti-siphon device - will prevent this from happening. 

This backflow preventer has a 3/4" FHT (female hose thread) inlet, which means it will connect to a garden hose or spigot easily. However, the outlet side is 3/4" MPT (male pipe thread), which means it will NOT work with other hose thread fittings. Put simply, this item will let you convert between hose thread and pipe thread.
