Heavy Duty Pressure Regulators, 3/4" FPT X FPT, 20 to 30 PSI

We'll answer your questions before you ask them: Yes you need a pressure regulator, and No there is no "standard pressure." What pressure you get at your hose spigot can vary wildly depending on your state, city, and neighborhood, the condition of your local plumbing system, where you are in relation to the nearest pump station, if you're at the top or bottom of a hill, and a bunch of other factors. Since your drip system needs a fairly low pressure, it's best to always use a pressure regulator.

Heavy duty regulators are listed below, ranging from 20 PSI to 30 PSI with pipe thread ends. This means these regulators will NOT connect to a garden hose or hose spigot. Most drip systems operate best at 25 psi, but you can always call us to discuss which regulator is best for your system. All of the below regulators are 3/4" in size. These heavy duty pressure regulators have reinforced construction that makes it more resilient in the face of the elements, normal working conditions, and even the hands of well meaning but inexperienced installers.

They are effective at regulating incoming pressure up to 160 PSI vs 100 PSI incoming for the basic and premium regulators. They also sport a higher maximum flow rate of 720 gph vs the 480 gph max of our line of basic pressure regulators.
