- The Drip Store’s KST100 from DIG is a Basic Starter Drip Tape Kit recommended for 5 rows of vegetables. This small drip tape kit has all the parts needed to install a small system from a faucet or a hose end timer to water up to 5 rows, each 20 feet long, and for up to 200 square feet. It can be expanded to cover an additional 400 square feet by adding a 20 or 25 PSI pressure regulator, drip tubing and drip tape with the same flow rate, and removing the flow control from the swivel adapter. The kit includes a ¾ inch backflow preventer, ¾ inch swivel adapter with screen washer and flow control, 5' of ½ inch drip tubing with .600 ID x .700 OD, 100' of 15 mil, 5/8 inch drip tape with 12 inch spacing, and all the parts needed to install ½” drip tubing for up to 5 rows of vegetables. This drip tape kit can be used to water all types of vegetable plants with 8” to 12” spacing and can accommodate a flow rate of up to 220 GPH (3.6 GPM).
Drip irrigation is the slow application of water directly to the plant root zone in a predetermined pattern. Maintaining an optimum moisture level in the soil at all times results in less water lost to the sun and the wind. No water is wasted on non-growth areas, and the root zone is maintained at its ideal moisture level, combining the proper balance of water and air for a very efficient irrigation system. - FEATURES
