Clean-in-place (CIP) systems are designed to automatically clean liquid storage tanks. This prevents tanks from accumulating buildup or becoming contaminated with bacteria, algae, fungi, etc. CIP systems are considerably less expensive than hand-cleaning tanks, and allow for tanks to be cleaned when no personnel are on-site, allowing for maximum flexibility and more cleaning events per given period than hand-cleaning.
