The head assembly is an essential part of any drip irrigation system. Situated at the beginning of the system, it provides five essential functions to your system:
1. Timer, which will turn the system on and off for you based on the schedule you set.
2. Backflow prevention, which ensures water pumped into your irrigation system doesn't make it back into the plumbing in your house, potentially contaminating it.
3. Filtration, which keeps your drippers and sprayers in operation longer and prevents clogging.
4. Pressure regulation, which provides water at the proper pressure for your drippers and sprayers to perform optimally.
5. A connection point for 1/4" micro tubing, which will allow you to connect to small tubing best for watering restricted areas with low water demand.
NOTE: always install the timer first, upstream of all the other components. The other components are not rated to be under constant pressure and will break if installed upstream of the timer.

Programming options

• Watering frequency: weekly, seven days schedule. In a weekly schedule, the hose end timer (tap timer) can be programmed to operate on any day of the week, such as Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Up to four start times per day provides added flexibility for any type of watering application.
