Replacement Stainless Steel Screen with 150 Mesh for 3/4 Inch T Filter

Screen filters are the most common filters used in the irrigation industry. They are generally used as a backup for any type of drip irrigation installation and are mainly installed where the quality of water is good. Screen filters are excellent for removing hard particulates from water such as sand, soil, and pieces of hard water buildup that can be found in city and well water. Screen filters are not suitable for removing organic materials such as algae, mold and slime. These non-solid materials tend to embed themselves into the screen material where they prevent water from passing through, clogging the filter. In other cases they slide through the holes in the screen by temporarily deforming their shape. To clean a screen filter simply unthread the cover, remove the element, and wash under a stream of water.

150 and 155 mesh filters are considered "standard" and will filter out material large enough to cause clogs in standard drippers. Coarser filters (less than 150 mesh) can be used to filter larger material, while finer filters (such as 200+ mesh) are better suited for filtering smaller particles, such as very fine sand.
